I joined Right at Home as a carer in July 2020.

Most of my career had been spent working in an office, predominantly within the property industry. In 2020, I made the big decision to start a new journey as a carer with Right at Home. After witnessing the care my father received while battling Parkinson’s disease, I realised I wanted to give something back – to care for others and make a difference, rather than spending my days behind a desk looking at paperwork.

At the time, my only proven experience was running our family home. Over the years, I have gained valuable knowledge from my colleagues, developed many new skills, and built strong relationships with both clients and team members.

I love that every day brings something new, with fresh challenges to overcome. It is especially rewarding to support newer members of the team and help them feel welcome and supported during their first few weeks and months.
